Strawberry Cream Cheese Cake

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box, typically eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat & Prepare Pan:
      • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
      • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    2. Make Cake Batter:
      • Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions (usually by mixing with eggs, oil, and water).
      • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
    3. Add Strawberry Filling:
      • Spoon the strawberry pie filling in dollops over the cake batter.
      • Use a knife or spatula to gently swirl the filling into the batter (do not fully mix).
    4. Prepare Cream Cheese Topping:
      • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
      • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
      • Swirl lightly with a knife for a marbled effect.
    5. Bake:
      • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake (avoiding cream cheese streaks) comes out clean.
    6. Cool & Serve:
      • Let the cake cool slightly before serving.
      • Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

    Optional: Serve with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness. 🍓
