Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) mushrooms (cremini, button, or shiitake), cleaned and halved (or left whole if small)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tsp dried thyme)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat Oven:

      • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:

      • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

    3. Coat the Mushrooms:

      • Place the mushrooms in a large mixing bowl and pour the garlic butter sauce over them. Toss well to coat evenly.

    4. Roast the Mushrooms:

      • Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup).

      • Roast for 18-20 minutes, stirring halfway, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.

    5. Finish & Serve:

      • Drizzle with lemon juice (if using) and sprinkle with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese (optional).

      • Serve warm as a side dish, over pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.

    Tips:

    • For extra caramelization, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end (watch closely to avoid burning).

    • Substitute herbs with rosemary or oregano for variation.

    • Add a splash of white wine to the butter sauce for extra flavor.

Enjoy your Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms—a rich, savory, and irresistible dish! 😊🍄
